Modeling: Bot Update

Long time, no update. Did not have as much time as I wanted/needed to spend, but the base for the bot is now done. Looks kind of boring but I hope it will come alive with a cool pose and some material and textures.

wow! it doesn´t look boring at all.
I can´t wait for the textures, I´m sure it will be amazing.
The concept is strong and you´ve done a lot of great modeling there!

I really like what you've done, the bot looks great! I like your concept sketch a lot too...has some nice atmosphere to it. I can't wait to see this piece finished

If I understand correctly, did you first model a woman's body, then modify it for your bot, or was that just for reference?

I made a base body and then I used make live in Maya (a function to snap vertices to a surface) to point out a polygon surface on top of the body. In this case it was perfect and I could focus on the shape of the body plates instead of the body shape.

Thx for the kind words everyone.

Hey , you are into robots as well, but on a far more serious level.
Great design. Curious to see your finished work.

How did I missed this?! Great. Only one note. Don't you think that polygon density is overtly high?

Nice modeling work. I like the quality of the concept sketch just as much (nice Simon Biz. type quality) Keep it up dude! Bring her to life, er, robot life that is.
