Texturing: Colombine



Ok, this should do until I decide where she'll be in the scene. Four down, two to go until I start the stage and puppeteer. But firdt will add up a belt buckle on "Harlequin"

Hmmm I think I just had an idea

First of all I'm gonna model more then 6 puppets, I was planning on modeling "Pierrot", "Il Dottore", "Pantalone", and maybe two "Gendarme" policemen of the time but that's if I have time.


Here's my idea and for that I need "Pinocchio" with a long nose since he just lied. I explain the puppeteer who just got push down on the stage by the puppets still hold in his right hand the to sticks that hold the strings of a puppet, that puppet he last handle his pinocchio and he's up in the air running in the air trying to escape but his nose is long since he just told a big lie to the other puppet convincing them to attack the puppeteer. So this should be the little story to go with my image.

Modeling: Dottore Start



Well finish his head, well still have his hat to do. This is "Il Dottore" the doctore, he wears a big mask that looks like a bird like you can see. This shouldn't be to long to do, but it's my sons birthday he's 3 years old today, so I won't be working on it until later tonight. So see you all tonight for an update.

Dude, i model pretty fast but this s amasing , and to top it all the quality is premium, cant wait to see what will come out of this work, keep t up

Lovely concept Kind of like 'Gulliver in the land of the Wooden puppets'

The first characters modeling and texturing look great, and the possibilities are endless, too.....mad stuff hehe!

Thx all

and nebezial, I spent like 8 to 10 hours minimum on each, barely slept in the past days, but it's pretty simple modeing I just modify what I modeled before. The pain will be the pupeteer, the puppets are really simplify since they'll be smaller in my scene I didn't have to worry to much about mistakes, I mostly do one half and put a simmetry modifier on it, add noise to screw up the clothes. I'm actually going as fast as I can cause I have a contract on the way and it will take most of my time so I want to have the most done before.

Take care all update in a few hours, starting my night shift, it's midnight here and I'm sure I'll be in bed in the morning or later like today.

Texturing: Doc Updated



Little update since I just wasted alote a time on making a temporary repair on my mouse wheel that just broke, I'll need a new mouse, to much Zoom in Zoom out.

Next step the hat and a few rinkles in the coat, and of course the shoes and textures and he should be done

Well I couldn't sleep so I decided to finish him, next I think I'll do "Pantalone" he as a mask too.

Don't worry about symmetry won't show once there in action and if it show then I'll tweak them a bit.

Wow, arlutik,
Really fast you are!! I like your textures, especially specular aspect of wood - know it's not so hard to do but looks cool!
What I like the most of all is european style of puppets, especially il Dottore and Diabolo - that are the most rokin'! But I noticed that polygons on Doctor's mask still too visible. Maybe you wanted create it like a handmade little mask (therefore not much accurate), but it still looks closer to compuer-generated.
Ok, wish you the best with your work - you really doing stylistycally original creation!

Wow this was fast, I mostly reused peice of clothing I had done before and voila. This is very good this way I can model Pinocchio and then I can start the rest of the scene.

damn you are flying along! The style you have given to each puppet is really cool! the fact that they have for the most part, the same structure helps...but in the end, they're all unique and equally well done!

The fact that you'll be able to rig one, then reuse that rig on the rest will save you even more time!

Your texture work is top notch stuff! I really like the worn paint details on diablo.

Definitely looking forward to more!
