I agree! I just can't imagine 3d without animation. Just a static image? That's torture. I'm going to use bones to pose the characters anyway so animation is probably inevitable, even if it's just for fun. Which leads me to the idea that animators percieve 3d creation differently than illustrators. This is neither bad or good. I just know the perspective on the process and visual results can be quite different. The animator focuses heavily on the mechanics and physical functionality of the work while illustrators focus mainly on detail and composition, but yet there both viewed as being the same. What do you guys think? Are you animator, illustrator or both? Do you see a differance?

Style is really going places, Brent

Digging the princess' ears and very iconic as an image..... reminds me a little of an Aztecian 'fetish' (in the real sense of the word!)

Hi Brent,

Great style of your modells!
I hope one day I will get this far myself.
Your creature would be the ideal butler for my manga-girlie-idea.
I am eager to start learning animation now.
That`s one of the main reasons, I decided to take part in this challange, because I want to try to rigg and pose my models as well. So far I mainly have been stuck with the modelling part.
But I really want to make movies!!

you´re fast! I´m completely amazed, you´re going to use bones to pose them! Are you using weight maps or just bones? if I used bones and weight maps for posing in my thread, I won´t get to the deadline in time, for sure. So, you deserve this

The models look great! just about the human I see something strange regarding the muscle that goes from the shoulder to the neck (how´s it called?). I can´t tell exactly what is it.

what colors are you using?
Keep up the good work!
