WIP Bount Hunter Taunt

Here is the WIP for another taunt animation for the Dota 2 workshop.

This one is a lot simpler and probably not as creative, but this was because his weapons can be interchanged with items that other people may have created that are larger than his current weapons. Any thoughts? or just like it for what it is?

Ha! Great stuff man, love the twirls on the bounty hunter weapons.

Thanks! Yeah man the assests are pretty fun to mess around with and they are already rigged and skinned. All i have to do is set up controls and go from there. Hopefully they will have the final submission process up, and we can start seeing them in game!

Just keeps getting better and better man. Would love to see from a ground camera, since it seems pretty nailed from the game view.

Planning on doing a series of these?

I thought the assets where rigged in maya? You make the switch?

As always, thanks for the comments and kind words!

@ KielFiggins: I'll be adding a close up soon and a camera that displays it "semi-cinematicly" (if that's even a word) similar to the Axe Taunt presentation.

Its a fun little exercise to do after hours with their cool characters, so hopefully I will have at least one every month. If i decide to make multiple taunts on one character, I could do more than just one.

Regarding the Rigs:
You can import the FBX into Max or Maya and it contains the skinning and bone orientations. Or use a 3rd party SMD importer (similar to fbx) and just create controllers. You could really just already animate the Bones that come in, but that would not be fun. I just throw biped over top the bones, align them, and then constrain them to biped. Animate biped, and export the underlying bones.

If anyone's interested in my controller set ups, I can post them here.

I have switched to Maya at work, but still use Max at home. Biped is a pretty solid All-in-One rig that has pose pasting, animation saving, scaling and other things. My Maya abilities are strictly animation

Congrats man, that Taunt came out top notch. Really nice flow. Not so sure whats happening with the courier, but I'm sure your next videos will clear that up.
