Some 2D-looking 3D

Hey,

Here are some clips from our most recent production, an "explainer video" for a company called Clear Cost Health.



Although the animation may appear hand-drawn, it's actually all CG, with various animation and compositing tricks used to give it the appearance of something hand-made. The most important one was to animate as much like a traditional animator as possible. We left everything step keyed the entire way through production, and never opened the graph editor. Instead, we in-betweened manually using our breakdown tool. Here's a quick making of:



Animating this way was a lot of fun--I hope you like it!
