Remember that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Just as the ball is violently accelerated by the swinging leg so too is the leg violently
decelerated by its collision with the ball but to a lesser degree due to its mass.
Which is why in slow motion kicks you will see the lower leg bending inward
because it has decelerated compared to the upper leg.

I think it's a great move. Looking real good.
A did pick up a few little things though
-The last step with his left foot just before he kicks looks faster than his other steps. Try and slow this step down a little, or even speed up the back steps a bit so they all match. At the moment there's a huge speed acceleration at that step.
- I feel his right foot slaps down on the ground just a little hard after he kicks the ball. Try giving it just one or two frames more in the air.
- I don't really think the hand to chin bit at the end is working. I'd just cut it personally.. If you do want to keep it, give it a bit more time at the end to settle. You're finishing the shot right in the middle of a move and it looks a bit awkward.
