Hi Friends,

Check out the New Galiwango Film Website here: http://www.galiwango.com/

as you all know, a film without an audience is nothing but an empty sounding gong, so as I get closer to the release of the Galiwango short film at the Amakula film festival, Nove 22-24th, I need you to help me spread the word.

Kindly help me get to at least 6000 Likes and more: Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/Galiwango.A...in.Gorilla.Film

~ Thanks 2U all

Check out the video from the Motion Capture Session I directed for the Galiwango film. Thanks to Skype, I was able to direct the session all the way from Virginia on the East Coast of the US, while the Motion capture team was in San Francisco at the Mixamo Studios, on the West Coast.

Watch the Recording of the live Video shoot: http://www.galiwango.com/2012/11/02...-studios-in-ca/

This is the Motion capture Artist who is bringing the Gorilla to life ~ my version of Serkis!!

@Solomon - now THAT is sheer genius (the facial capture rig!) absolutely brilliant idea. I did a similar thing myself as a prototype a while back.. have you tried doing this with some white dots on your face? That way you have some actual points you can track in your 3d app and then apply to rig controls on your characters faces! This was how i did mine however i didn't have the camera attached to a helmet - i simply held it in front of my face and did silly expressions. Your rig coupled with some white spots (I just bought some stickers) on points on your face would work a treat!

nice work on the mocap session direction too

cant wait to see first facial anim test!

Thanks Anthony! you know how it is with shoe strings budgets, sometimes they bring out the best in us, through innovation and improvisation. I will definitely share once I have the first take done.

My video doesn't need to have markers because I am using Faceware's Analyzer. Faceware and ImageMetrics are kindly supporting me with their technology: http://www.galiwango.com/2012/09/12...d-imagemetrics/

here is an update on the Galiwango film ~ check out the video at this link of the Out takes from the Voice Acting session I did, with 3 talented Artists in Kampala, Uganda. I never realised how many takes one had to do even with Voice acting, but these guys delivered, along with some funny jokes. Definitely plenty of Extras for the making video.

lol!! Thanks Anthony! The final film is going to have sub-titles, so you will know what they are saying.

That's the next part that I am working on, the data from those voice acting videos, applied to the 3D models.

Here is some interesting footage I captured during my trip to gather reference materials for the Galiwango animated mountain gorilla film ~ a scary but exciting moment, when I was almost crashed by a mountain gorilla
