great sunset

I like the colors and the composition, but I think that the buildings need to have some depth of field. Sort of like blurring into the background. Other than that great work.

i really like your piece so far, i think the edges of the ship are too sharp if its supposed to be traveling at a high speed. the mountains in the far distance become a bit too light, they should probably be closr in color to the sky next to them, or lighten the horizon to be closer in color to the mountains. it depends i guess on your choices about values and what sort of color range you wish to use.

Coloring WIP: ETAPE 13

I coloring an other attack ship with the same structure and i paint a rock in the primary plan, the next step is the coloring of a other style of attack ship

That composition is definitely working, atleast for now. The divide in the centre guides my eye and it allows for the feeling of. literaly, open space. Watch out that the ship on the right doesn't overwhelm the picture though, you might want to put a little more interest on the left side of the canvas just to balance it out.

Coloring WIP: etape 14

I have at the end the second type of ship, I made him a little more " mecanique ", by inspiring me stars war's ships, I always found that they made realists. I stop the vessels of attack there and I am now going to concentrate on the mother ship

Love the new ship!

I see what you're saying about the city on the correct layer, reads a lot better now! This is coming along beautifully... great job!
Got the axe out and I'm getting my chops back...

Exellent work mate! But isn`t there going to be any ressistance? Don`t get me wrong
i like looking at cities burn helplessly as much as the next guy but it seems to be an
important city so it may be worth fighting for :] Keep it up

Coloring WIP: ETAPE 15

I finished the mothership, I placed clouds which cover it partially to give an impression of height, I would polish up all this at the time of the final colorization. Now I am going to concentrate on appendix of the mothership, and finally on the characters

Coloring WIP: ETAPE 17

I finished the first and the second characters, the mother and her son, after this i begin to draw the last character, the man
Old 12 December 2004   #42
wow! it's looking very good, I really like your process

my only crit would be that the woman's hair is looking a bit strange to me, too heavy maybe, or the way it bends...I don't know... And IMHO you should decrease the blue light in the son's face, it was a bit difficult at the beggining to read it as a child... maybe have him look at his father to show better his face? just an idea, keep up the good work
Old 12 December 2004   #43
Thank elmasfeo, sorry for my english, the hairs of the woman it's perhaps so big, it's true i change it, for the face of the son it's because the original image size is 3000 x 2500 pixels, the image in the post is at 740 pixels
