Thumbs up Mark (Element5)

Balance of Power.
I really like this scene for the fact that it would look awesome with some motion blur to really show all the movement in the scene..especially the hover-bike guy. or even with some very out-of-focus foreground people in there 'getting in the way' as you'd expect when trying to film royalty.

just my humble opinion

Generations.
See now, this one is my personal favorite, simply for the scale of the scene in the background and the design of the graves. I really like the way the they're these cylinders that slide up so you can pay your respects and all that. nice concept

Overall, it Looks fantastic, but i personally dont see the 'Iconic' part, unless that ship in the background is about to attack.

But hey.. i know that you know what you're doing, and im certain that whatever you do for this competition, its gonna be pretty damn cool!

Keep up the excellent work, Mark! and best of luck!

Thanx Dene,

Your input means alot dude I am still trying to decide what I feel comfortable doing and you are right the first 2 are not very iconic. Will be posting a revised version of the 3rd concept.

Cheers

Whatsup Element5. Seems like you are in this contest too =), i did just get my wacom 3 days ago so its going to be fun to see what this baby can do. I must say i got stuck with your Generations concept, i like the "calm" stuff in the scene. I'm looking forward to see more of your work =).

Concept Sketch: momentum

I have widened the image and sectioned it with a diagnal. In the top half It is mainly dedicated to The Leaderand the Queen and her environment (peaceful and calming). The bottom half is dedicated to the armed forces (menacing and chaotic) Still in concept to get the elements working together...:-)

working on the placement of the main characters, the placement of the eyes. The characters may not look like the ones now, they will be developed more. This is mainly for composition.

.

Your idea is really taking off I thin! I just don't like the left character whit the reptilian look...surely is only the starting sketch, but the other defined characters are better promising...dunno why :P
