Modeling: Torso Time

I can't wait to start sculpting the costume. Before that she needs some arm and legs.

Modeling: Arms first, legs next.

The legs are looking weak, so I'll redo those before I post them. I'm not entirely happy with arms and hands, but I can't start picking over the details yet.

Wow - very nice Rook. I'm glad to see reasonable breasts on your model as well - almost always we see them exaggerated and perfect beyond reality. It is the slight imperfections that really give 3D models a bit more life. If you hold a mirror to one half of your face, and then look in a mirror, and hold it over the other half - you will find that one side is slightly different than the other. This is the law in each of us. When we start to do this in 3D models, they will take on a new meaning of real looking and lose that reflected half perfection that needs to go away.

Looking forward to seeing you big picture. I must have missed the concept somewhere...

My concept is on the first page. I'm trying to maximize my time in 3d, so the 2d end of things are extremely loose.

The feet took me forever to model.

Modeling: Armor Start

The armor is to thick at this point. There is some pinching that bothers me in the breast plate.

The body and head base took me just under a week to model. I just didn't post any updates until recently. I hadn't decided on the look I wanted for my female character. I was also dragging my feet on her design. I figure by posting my progress, good or bad, at least I'll keep moving forward.

Hi there,

Excellent model, great detail. The only crit I can come up with is that there seems to be a small amount of pinching where the cloth around the neck meets the throat. Maybe you could add a small notch there like this:

Just a minor crit, not really very important. Keep up the great work.

Ya that's a good idea. I feel the whole design is a little to simplistic at this point. I think I'm going to hit the modeling hard this weekend and see if I can spice it up.

Nice Scale

Excellent scale on the image of the complete figure. Very nice proportions.

Modeling: Raina Model

The modeling phase for her is about 75% done. The basic form and idea is there but the details are not.
