Modeling: modeling to date on The BEasT

Here's where I am so far on the modeling of the Gilrog beast..only having about an hour or so a day ...going for a very "comic Book" style of proportions and stylizing with this onE.)))

Nice organic modeling. Course now you've got to get the head finished. That is quite an ambitious concept you worked up and the drawings look fantastic, you really put some time into the quality of them. Mine are quite lackluster, just enough to get the idea. Looking good.

Modeling: Gilrog ...legs...FIN..

A bit more progress made..bit by bit...please look past the slight mistakes in anatomy in this model...trying to get it to look good...on a time budget...more will be refined though as I go..

Modeling: The BEAST...less HEad

Finished up the modeling on the Main body of the Gil'rog beast. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out since Ii don't do much organic modeling..you really have to just follow the natural muscle lines...my method for modeling like this....no boxes here...detail out...start witrh a detailed section...in this case the arms..and extend your mesh outwards adjusting the contour lines of the curves as you go outwards...Lightwaves extender feature makes this easy...and of course patience...tweaking each vert. from just about every angle you can see it at to give a nice bulging look....anyways babled on enogh...onto the head and gear !

Modeling: head modeling...curves

a little father along in the development of the head mesh...this kinda shows how I model with curves for complicated organics...gives a proper flow to tthe face and makes things like adding wrinklyes and details much easier,,,splines are the way to go !

Seems like im not the only one that likes splines. Is the entire beast made of splines?

Nice; reminds me of those beasts from SW Episode 2.
(Glad to see I'm not the only LightWaver here )
