Thanks Wiro, I can understand that.

Perhaps if I submit sketches for concepts, but don't make any progress until Dec?

What's the error message. Can't help you if you don't tell us the specifics.

What type of things are you to stay away from in your scene?

Do you have to post a sketch before you start modeling?

Resolution for entries??

Please, write if trial versions of 3d programs are allowed, because I don't know if I can submit

Arsyn, yes you MUST post a concept sketch. It is a compulsory milestone.
Regarding resolution, are you referring to 3D renders or 2D entries?

As for what shouldn't be in there... well, apart from what has been mentioned already in the guidelines, just make sure that your entry goes with the theme. There are not banned items as such, but images that do not have anything to do with the space opera theme will not be considered at the judging stage.

arturro, it doesn't matter if you're using a trial version.

One little question :

I have the idea of making a crowd in my image, but for some people we're only gonna see their back . Can i use poser to make different people (because they will not be the main purpose of the scene ) or should i model one complete character, duplicate it and make some tweaks (texture colors, pose...) to make them different ??

Which Way?

Sorry. I'm new to this and I'm a little slow. How do I actually enter the 3d competition, so that my work is checked

Milestones?

With milestones, do I tag every concept sketch uploaded as a milestone, or just THE final concept sketch. I want to mess around with my idea, upload sketches on the idea, but only the final one will be the 'milestone' concept sketch.

Possible lame question but just checking (may be thinking too hard)!

Thanks.

Julian.
