I never use the retopo tools in ZBrush any more. Check out TopoGun or 3dCoat for retopologizing (you can download a trial for free). There are many TopoGun and 3dCoat videos available. Some of those videos may help you with the process (even though you are using tools in ZBrush). Also check out the Polycount Wiki page (it has tutorials on topology--just do a search).

For the horns I would just use some of the simple tools in TopoGun (just draw lines where you want edge loops and specify the number of quads) and it quickly retoplogizes them. I probably would not retopo the skulls like you are doing, just keep the edge flow going around the entire object (otherwise you are going to have some odd shaped quads and edge flow).

Have you checked the ZBrush Classroom on Pixologic? They have some pretty decent videos on QRemesher.

BTW, software specific questions go in software specific forums, not in GD.

Some of the images are not there anymore, some are, you can read the comments.

The idea behind the topology is fairly simple: try to keep edges perpendicular/paralel on the deformations, with a hint to muscle shapes.

Remesh

Hi all,
I'm doing this, rebuildying the mesh, and the entire model, with GoZ/3ds Max and ZBrush..
C&C are most welcome...
What do you think about to model the little skulls onto the shell,or should I make them separately?
