UV Master not copying UVs on identical meshes

Hi guys. I'm having a problem with copying my low poly UV map over to my low/high poly zbrush sculpt. The sculpt (6 subdivisions) was done in Zbrush, and then the lowest subdivision was brought into an external program for UV mapping.

When I bring the low poly with the UV into Zbrush, it looks fine; however, when I copy the UV map over to the original (low/high poly) mesh, it distorts the UV.

did you copy and paste UV
and you need to look real quick to see if there was a error on why it wouldn't paste UV
this error that im thinking about will give you a pop up error really quick.
in uv master did you turn on poly groups?

Some people helped me out on Polycount. Thank you for the reply though. For anyone who runs into a similar problem and comes across this thread, please see the link below.
