Splitting imported objects?

Greetings

I have this problem that i have imported very complex item to zbrush and i have trouble editing it because of the polycount. Now if i split this object it must be split precisely, this is very important. So is there a way to automaticly split object to half or do i must pain the area that i want to split? I would love to split it to 4 equal size blocks, can this be done automaticly?

Thank you

turn on polyframe
then geometry>freeze subdivision
then goto the brushes and chose slice Rect
slice it up and once done geometry>UN-freeze subdivision
then tool>subtool>group split
