How To Leave Only Cracks In Asphalt...?

I have a picture of cracked asphalt, after it's desaturated and I use levels I still have quite a lot of small black dots left over. I want just the cracks to be visible (black) and everything else to be white, how can I get rid of the small black dots where the asphalt used to be??
Thanks

A picture would probably help. But off the top of my head I would suggest using the Quick Mask and selecting the cracks and erasing the dots, or cutting out the cracks to their own layer. Or use the Magic Lasso tool to select the cracks and cutting them to their own layer. Or posting a picture here so we can advise you better for your particular image.
