FXWARS Challenge:37 - KBoom - Bd7

Alright this will be my first FX Wars entry. I am trying to get this done before I get busy at work again. My goal at work everyday is to try and make the FX look "realistic". For this I want to try and do something different. I want to make a cartoon explosion based in reality. hahaha.

Here is my inspiration.

Here is my a quick play blast. Not perfect but now I cant start building my sims and other FX rigs.

Thanks guys. I have some Sims going right now. Trying to get this before we get busy at work. hahaha

I started shading and rendering just to try and get a first pass of all the different parts. From there I can re sim and re render as needed. I will try and get some stills up tonight.

Havent had a bunch of time to work on this latley. Here is my First pass with all the current elements. There is some problems from Mattes to the explosion. Time to try and fix those

Thank you. I shattered it with Rayfire - Used Pflow box2 to animate the big chunks and scale down over time ( I chose it over TP for speed). Pflow rendered with krakatoa for the fine debris. Also there is a small Fumefx pass the help blend it all together.

Still haven't had time to touch this. Might try and add a bit bigger explosion and call it. Hustle Hustle
