3324 North California, Jason Seiler (2D)

Title: 3324 North California
Name: Jason Seiler
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop

This is a scene that I created as a new portfolio piece. I started first by taking several reference photos of diner's and regular people sitting and eating. After that, I did a few thumbnails to come up with my idea and composition. Once I had that, I did a couple sketches, and soon after began to paint. My main interest was capturing what it feels like to sit in a diner such as this one. I wanted to create mood and lighting that would make the viewer feel as if they've been at this diner.

This is a brilliant piece again, Jason! The shading is brilliant, the characters are absolutely authentical. Everybody knows this situation, but nevertheless its an eyecatcher. Great job dude!

Thank you so much everyone, I'm thrilled you enjoy this piece as I am working on several more in this direction.

As for the man and what he is holding? I'll leave that up to you as the viewer . . . he could be reaching for a french fry or perhaps he's crazy and thinks he's drinking from a coffee cup, I won't say.

Thanks again!
