Super cool, I really appreciate the recklessness with the rest of the piece and then the beautiful finality of the face. Congrats man, definitely deserving of the praise.

Beautiful work Jason!

Elvis Costello is my all-time favourite singer/songwriter. Nice to see a worthy caricature of him.

That would be fun to try . . . . I don't have the software for that kind of work, but I have thought about messing witht that. My main passion though is painting in oils and acrylics . . . I'm currently working on a group of very large oil paintings.

First I'd like to say thank you to those who commented recently who I haven't responded to. Thank you much for your comments, I'm glad that Costello fan's approve!

As to the question above, I do realistic portraits as well, but for me there's more meaning if I put my own spin on the portrait and in some instances I still exaggerate a bit. This for me improves the likeness. I actually consider myself a portrait artist rather than a caricaturist . . . I also do some landscape work as well . . . but mostly from life, and they're quick studies done in oil.

I like the way you've achieved the brushstrokes. It looks very...non-CG.
