Actually Alan, I think Xu Hui (nice colours by the way) is merely attempting to emphasize the Tank i.e. to make it stand out by purposely making it that big-to show the tanks power (works for this composition). .
I don't know if you have ever been near a tank, but let me tell you (I served in United States Army in the infantry as an NCO during the end of the cold war years) a tank can be a beastly thing. The US Abram is really not that big of a tank (but one of the most deadly in the world), but, I remember when I saw my first modern German Panzer. All I could think was "damn, that is one big mother". The Panzer is an impressive HUGE tank that could scare the living crap out of anyone seeing it coming. 'Our' troops were in awe of it in WWII and we were still in awe of it in 1991. By the way, it was great serving with your fellow country men. You folks have an outstanding and very dedicated military. Cheers. Dragon out.
