The spoiled wizard's daughter, Remko Troost (2D)

Title: The spoiled wizard's daughter
Name: Remko Troost
Country: Belgium
Software: Painter, Photoshop

Mialeeff is the very spoiled daughter of an old wizard who just can't stand up against her anymore..Often she takes daddy's enchanted troll's and treat them like slaves.
This Troll isn't so proud about it,He's forcing himself to keep smiling.Even if he's enchanted and well educated now, the water still isn't his thing. And she knows that...

HI Everyone, this is my latest illustration i did for my portfolio.
Handpainted from scratch in Photoshop .
I tried for once to put the dark side(o so strong) aside and do a more all day life scene.

Hope you guys like it.
C&C very welcom.

Remko

Here are some details if you like.

Always great to see new work from you, Remko. This is really lovely. There are so many details I want to gush over - the expressions, the rim-lighting on the fur, all the misty mix of colors in the lower left, the texture of the upper background... it's all good. Great stuff!

I never really got used to using texturebrushes and still don't in fact.I do try tu use them now and then and in this pic i used for about 5 to 10 texturebrushes.Once i've used them I always try to re-overpaint them with a basic brush set on 80 to 100% opacity with pressure on, to try to get as close as possible to the result I would like to obtain.I mostly use the chalk ones and the oil pastel large with pressure .This basic brush is the one I use most and all of the time.I Just love those brushes!:-)

Gorgeous painting. The details and even the lack of detail in certain areas is wonderful. I didnt read the Troll's expression as a forced smile, more like a...look what I have, dont you want one too?
