Great piece Walrus, really like the gestures and design on the trolls. Great colors as well.
Only suggestion I would have is to darken the middle Troll in the foreground a little more, he seems to be sort of blending with the midground to me.

Infinitley facinating. You gifts as a storyteller are remarkable. The graphic facility you use to get there is awesome.

five stars

Hi, everyone! Thanks for the nice comments! I hope everyone has received their copies of IFX by now - I just got a second one in the mail yesterday (?!?) so I assume others have as well... hope you liked the article.

Rasdasa - Thanks for the suggestion. I sometimes agree with you, it depends on what monitor I'm looking at. Most of the time it looks fine and the rim lights pull that guy off of the midground just fine, but on another monitor I looked at, I saw exactly what you were talking about. Oh, the joys of digital work! Either way, thank you for commenting on it.

tikitype - Thanks for your note. However, you got in touch with me and left absolutely no way for me to contact you. You didn't leave a mail address, your CGTalk account is set to not accept PMs, and there's no web address on your account info. So if you want a response, better let me know where to send one.

Cheers!

-mike

Great photorealistic piece ! The light, the composition... amasing work for an amasing game.
Could you post more work about it ? i'm a fan ^^

ChrisV22 - Thanks, glad you like it! If you'd like to see more of how it was developed, you can check out this thread from the WIP forums: http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthr...p?f=31&t=502121

There's a lot more detailed step-by-steps and information in the latest issue of ImagineFX, if you can find a copy - it's really a great magazine and there's a lot of useful and inspirational stuff in it, not just this piece, well worth the effort to find and get!
