Ah, now I see what you mean. Well, may be he did clone them but I think it´s still alright. When you look at a battle ground with so much smoke, I imagine soldiers always look kind of equal (of course not perfectly equal) due to the identical suits they wear. Well, it´s probably not optimal, you´re true on that, but I personally don´t feel that way. My main interest is in the main character and the rest is "only" composition. Not to say that it´s unimportant but I think it´s well enough to serve the purpose.

But I see your point. However, you shouldn´t pay too much attention to it.

the texture of the material of his jacket is really great, you can almost feel it
the true art of animation is known to only a few

oh, one thing, the soldier is in fire, but we don't see any kick (I mean some motion, some pushing back...). This become more important when we see big fire light from gun

May also this old guns didn't make high kick... I'm not sure but like hear other ideas...

Wow...I actually thought this was 3D

Excellent...the painting reads very well. I like it.

Definitely British, early to mid 1700s (the lettering is GR for George Regina).

It's a fantastic picture and suitably grimey. I'm not sure that you wouldn't see a little bit of the musket's hammer mechanism in this angle, and for grenadiers they are in a pretty skirmishy formation (maybe they are storming a building), but the image works perfectly for its intended purpose. (Total War isn't a totally realistic wargame anyway - but there's nothing worse than an anal wargamer, so I'll stop here ).

Superb picture
I don't know
