. ...very good painting !

edit: I think one thing that stands out to me and that bothers me is the little shooting star . I think it looks out of place and a little bit cheesey . That just my opinion though

Superb Artwork!

She looks like the Portugal´s girls ( traditional dress).

Great job.

Very beautiful once more Melanie.
I agree with a previous poster that she looks somehow from Portugal like the painting with the gypsy girl and the cat.

I am just a bit confused when you say "no photo reference used for the girl / as always I am the Model". You look in the mirror and use yourself as model for all the details? Or what do you mean?

I am also wondering if you can paint so amazingly realistic looking fabrics by heart or if you use fabrics next to you while painting.

Superb painting. Her skin could use a little reflection from the surroundings, then again, I hate myself while pointing this out!

Well! I also like the mood as almost everyone, and the textures and lightning looks superb for me. But i think, even when it is not visible, the part of the leg that goes from the knees to the feet is too short compared with the thighs. I mean, if you look at the whole composition, you´ll realize how short these are, or how big the head is compared to the legs. Appart from that, for me the feet are too strange, too forced too.
Congratulations anyway cause it´s a very good painting anyway
