Naga Dance, Camille Kuo (2D)
Title: Naga Dance
Name: Camille Kuo
She's Indian but not a most beautiful one. I combined Chinese and Italian styles into the background painting.
I forgot to mention that the reference of anatomy and the model is myself. I took several pictures of my own poses (I couldn't even know the camara place me in the center or not, and that is always a pain on the ass.)to get correct lighting and anatomy.

Hey, this is quite somthing!! It has a stron feeling of "old master" to it. The figure is very strong and the lighting works very well. I like the way that you have controlled the brighness and contrast around the composition. It is very moody.
I like the slightly drugged look on her eyes - it really adds to it.
To me though, she looks more spanish than indian.
Did you use reference? The anatomy is spot on as far as I can see.

I really like this - specially because I know how freaking hard poses like those are to paint and you pulled it off very good.
The only thing that bothers me is the background..you mentioned that you did combine styles but somehow it looks a bit like painted canvas. Almost like a theater background
(god I hope that doesn't sound offensive :()

Simply put...WOW! Very nice...I like the feeling of being drawn into the picture that I get from this. Colours are great and the eyes are captivating.
Beautiful work on the anatomy and I really like the background...
Any chance you might submit this to Exotique? *hint hint*

I have seen this on GFX as well. Welcome to CGtalk (I recently joined as well).
The painting is quite amazing. i love the colors as well as the subject and pose. I think it would have looked better if the girl's eyes were more focused to give a feeling that she is lookign at the viewer though. The background could probably be a bit more faded since her left arm is already so it will be slightly less distracting from the main character. Anyways, I absolutely love the painting, especially that exotic feel. The composition is very well done.
