the emotions of the animals....well seems to be not exaggerated enough...

Thnx Gord! and thnx for checking my projects!
Yep! THnx for your crits. I know that. But if you check my progress you will see that
this is much better than at the beginning. At a certain point I thought it would be more
important to keep the balance in the composition.
Thnx! It's an honour! Love your stuff!
thnx for your comment!
Thnx! I tried to paint the translucent effect of the skin and flesh. Maybe it's a bit too much
sub surface scattering don't know. But thnx for your comments!

Great job on the color, composition and details.
I found a couple of things out of sync with the storyline (in a land before time...), one being the hunter's clothes and build are a little too present day and secondly the deer could have been more prehistoric, but still recognizable as belonging to the deer family/horse family. The only reason I say this is because I found the story very interesting.

Maybe it's been a while since I've seen such a stunning piece of art but this blew me out of my chair. The detail is just amazing, the tones, the lighting. And such an interesting concept. My only gripe is that the deer isn't showing enough energy (fear, shock, etc). Doesn't look like he's frantically escaping for his life.

At first i thought it was great.
but i was amazed by the level of details when you posted those closeups.
you coulda easily taken a good spot (or perhaps win) if you would have submitted this as an entry to the master and servant challange

Unfortunately I don't post as often as I would like but I've followed your work and several other people's work in the sketch threads, etc. for sometime now and I must say this piece deserves a comment.
The lighting, composition, colors, everything is simply amazing. Fantastic job Goro.

I'd be happy if I was able to draw just that rabbit you show in the details!
My only crit: The trolls hands seem too translucent, you can make those parts in the shade a bit darker as his hands seemed somewhat waxy.
