good!It is interesting! The works have feeling of Chinese Gongbi very much, I believe that studies to some extent about Chinese painting!

This is awesome.
The middle samurai is so cool, he could do the motif all alone

and, I can't find anything useful to crit on.
if it's a comedy, which i think it is, then the blue colour is spot on.
the sizes on the horses kind of indicate it's a comedy, as do the the proportions of samurais' hands.
but if it's more raw, then i think a black background wouldve been better.
and even further, if it's supposed to be an authentic japanese story, a sunrise would've been perfect as background

that book looks fab!
I also totally enjoyed looking at your pencil sketches - very inspiring character illustrations
(Makes me remember that I should spend more time on actually developing my sketches and not being overly eager to go on rendering in PS).
