Forever, Sara Biddle (2D)

Title: Forever
Name: Sara Biddle
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop

"You took my breath away with beauty like the stars.
I've got you now, my dear, forever in my arms."

My first personal artwork of 2010! :)

My goal with this piece was to achieve as much realism as possible. I used lots of custom brushes for special effects like skin pores and his beard.

Comments and crits are welcome!

He looks awesome and very realistic indeed, the only little suggestion I'd do is to use a more scattered, random brush for the skin. The texture of pores now look pretty much organized, as if he slept on a hard fabric pillow

Awesome render sara. But in my opinion, I thought the pores were over used than organized.
But still this is a HIGH quality illustration! nice work.

Nice work, I like all of the scars that you added and the hair textures are very good!

Excellent work ! I do share the same opinion about the brush you used, it sadly looks a bit too uniform, especially in the highlights - unless it was the desired effect, of course. The lighting is awesome and his expression is prefect. Great work !

Try making the reflections on the eyes different from one another instead of being mirror images. I think you would find it to be an improvement.

griffinfly: I see what you mean. I'm going to try to adjust the brush settings for a more spontaneous effect. Thanks for the suggestion!

Samuraikuroi: Thanks! I think I will go back and make some of the pores less noticeable. "High Quality" - that makes me feel awesome! Thanks again~

Cellesria: Thank you so much! I really enjoyed adding in those kinds of details~

lkermel: I do agree, and I will go back with a randomized brush and try to fix that! Thanks so much!

RandyCAL: I will try that, thanks for the tip~

Syran: Thank you very much! I had a lot of fun painting the beard- it was probably my favorite part to paint! I will take looking like Spartacus as a compliment on handsomeness, haha.

Felideus: Thank you, I appreciate that so much!
