Dancing Genie , Yuriy Mazurkin (2D)

Title: Dancing Genie
Name: Yuriy Mazurkin
Country: Russia
Software: Painter

I drew this woman figure out of my head. I was inspired by oriental dance, what I saw long time ago. And I would like to convey my impression of it. Done in Painter X.

Hey Yuriy.

My compliments on the lighting and shadows in this image. I really like that the ground is so dusty and faded. Feels really like she is a genie. I like those arch pillars alot my friend, very neat job with those, you've captured some of those intricate patterns I've seen on architecture in Persepolis. Good one man

I'm very impressed... painting skin must be one of the most enjoyable (and challenging) for me, so just one look at your thumb at the gallery caught my eye and I knew I was in for something good. EXCELLENT WORK!!!
The lighting, the and strong contrast, the variety of tones and the colors you chose make this more real than real (opposed to over-rendering). Thats what I call a good painting!
Keep it up, your pirate illustration and the portrait are equally impressive.
all the best Dan

Beautiful lighting and brushstrokes, it reminds me a bit of early Brom´s illustrations

Truly breathtaking. I love the contrast between the smoowht skin and the minute detailing of the pillars. Also, the way she appears silhouetted by the dark background is really captivating.
Great work!
