Cat, Magdalena Saramak (2D)

Title: Cat
Name: Magdalena Saramak
Country: Poland
Software: Photoshop

Another character illustration. Ladies and gentlemen, this time I present you Cat - frustrated individual, who always looks for his own path. As he is a character from a story in addition to the picture a fragment of his thoughts (translated into English from Polish, so please forgive me) :

...
"Is there really no other way?" - he asked himself but in his head there was only an echo of yesterday's scream - "No!". Word which came as an bitter answer to his silent question. After a while he heard air's moan, as it was being ripped by their wings. He felt clearly that it is changing it's smell, even taste. Bitter and nauseating from their breaths.
"Some time ago I would believe in the impossible, even now, even after all those years." - he thought and turned away when they crossed the sky above him. They were beings which someone, long time ago, taught him to hate. And he had no doubts that if that certain someone was with him now, they wouldn't dare to fly above the city, not to mention attacking anyone.
But she was no longer here. And he was no longer able to find her.
...

Again, forgive me for poor translation...
And there you have some closeups:

I hope you like it. Of course I'd appreciate any comments, especially those regarding painting rain - it was really hard to get the right feeling about it.
Thanks in advance.

Personally, I think you rendered the rain very well! (i'd be absolutely no help with advice there, really... I've never illustrated falling rain before, that I can remember.) The way it's hitting and bouncing off of the figure and the steps... it's quite realistic, I think. I really love the lighting on the steps, especially. The figure is expressive and well-detailed. Nicely done!

The attention to details is brilliant..not visible on the whole until one sees the closeups..good work really..
