Thank you to everyone for your kind words and encouragement. The great response has really inspired to continue do a better job with my next piece.

Quote: Artbot: One thing that popped out to me was the shape of the smoke. My eye really wanted to find a recognizable shape in it for some reason. It occured to me that it might be cool (though too cliche?) to have the smoke-wisp allude to the outline of a woman - since it's Bond, and all.

Yes, I may have missed a trick with the smoke, nice idea but maybe it would have detracted too much from Daniel himself.

Quote: Charcinske: I love the textures and how it's so faithful to real life despite being a caricature. Very inspiring.

Thank you, I really enjoy rendering the textures and details. It may be a bit over rendered for some peoples taste but I just can't help myself!

Quote: marioucci: And the evolution from your previous works is incredibly visible.

Yes I agree, Its very inspiring to see the progression with each painting. Thanks for noticing.

I
Quote: zuael: When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was Putin at first.
Very nicely rendered, but wouldn't you say Daniel Craig's head is more cube-shaped?

I see what you mean about the Putin resemblance, I hadn't noticed that before. With the shape of the head I really tried to push the distortion as much as I could and find interesting shapes, maybe I need to concentrate more on a balance between the likeness and distortion

Quote: AdmiralRa: The only thing that distracted me was his finger on the trigger, something doesn't seem right.

Point taken, hands really aren't my strong point. Must practice!!

Thanks again to everyone who has taken the time to reply. I have never had such a great response and been plugged on the home page, I am very chuffed and inspired to do better.

Wow, outstanding.

Technically this is amazing but I thought the same as zuael, daniel craig is not someone I would caricature with an elongated face

Very nice work overall.
However , the hand/fingers are off in their proportions and perspective.

I would agree about the head shape. But what the hell do I know about caricatures?! Still instantly recognisable as Daniel Craig. Awesome work
