I just know I'm in for a treat when I click through to a new image Raphael - just sublime mate. Really beautiful piece of work. The mountains, as always, are just perfect. Great sense of depth, and your low horzion gives it such a epic feel. Hope all's well with you, Phil

I have admired your work for such a long time, so I am always excited to see something new! The mist/steam on the water is my favourite part, second to the cloaked and thoughtfully-looking-into-the-distance you.

Nice work, tough role models to follow!

Hey Raphael amazing stuff. As usual u achieved a great mood in this piece. I liked the light falling on the guy from distance. Is this a matte painting or u did the whole stuff in PS using brushes.

Une atmosphère à la C Friedrich, une palette et des couleurs incroyables, cette illustration est vraiment MAGNIFIQUE Raphael.

I like the pictures of Albert Bierstadt very much too!
Your artwork looks very cinematic. This feeling arises from the presence of human figure at the picture. Man drops his sword, admiring the sunset! And at the same time drawing amazingly picturesque. I like the lighting and the landscape plans. The aerial perspective is beyond praise!

Thank U all for the positive feedback so far,

I used a mix of photoshop brushes and pictures from my personal bank for this one, with tons of repaint and color corrections

cheers!
