Return of The Emperor, Raphael Lacoste (2D)

Title: Return of The Emperor
Name: Raphael Lacoste
Country: Canada
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop

Hello there,

someone is going back home ;)

I did this picture for Imagine FX44 tutorial, the architectural elements were first modeled in 3D but the main part of the job is photoshop, as I work as usual ...
I know the composition is very symetrical but i liked it simple and classy, hope you like and have some comments to share!

Beautiful painting as always Raphael. Stunning lighting! I just picked up my issue of ImagineFX with the tutorial of this painting. Some really interesting tips there!

Feels a lot like your old artworks, Malik Sha's Sanctuary and the other ruined temple. Beautiful.

Nice, really happy to see a new piece from you! I often look at your site to see if I missed anything new. Love the way the light bounces on the columns and the highlights, and I like the presence of the character in your work, like the one with the swordsman and the rats.

Thumbs up

I like the one point perspective along with your columns. I love the stained glass window the best. Great job.

Your work is always really inspiring, and this is no exception. I like simple and classy things, so this one strikes a cord with me. Beauifully done.
