Thanks for all the comments everyone. I appreciate it!

DigitalOmega - I'm very glad you got so much out of this painting. Some of the things you mentioned were intentional, some weren't and some intentions were missed - but that doesn't really matter as long as you got a lot of meaning from it. Which is also the topic of the painting in my mind (meaning.. the formulation and pursue of, having meaning start and end with us, with no real grander meaning or goal or purpose outside of our own myopic limited subjective experience). The dragon element was abstracted a little - since I'm not refering to drugs here but rather to the concept of being in some eternal pursuit which is by definition unconcludable. I was introduced to the phrase by South Park, actually
So congrats on the new wallpaper

Shardana - no man, I didn't use 3D or refs.

Wow, tremendous improvement in colors and stylization!
This is already the top level in terms of the technique, truly a great achievement.

The South Park phrase in your title made me giggle, it's hard to overcome,
but I think I've got the main idea that you've tried to convey after looking at it for a while,
no so for the "days left to live" counter - no way would I've guessed that

5*
