"Base - 24", Sam Kurdenton (2D)

Title: "Base - 24"
Name: Sam Kurdenton
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop

Figured I haven't really done a lava sci-fi matte painting yet, so here's my take. The principle is this civilization runs lava through their bases and cities for energy. What better to use, than the planet's vaste reserve of lava?
I also tinkered a bit with some new custom brushes I made for the clouds and rocks which I think is a huge improvement over my previous paintings with rocks.
Let me know what you think!

looks really nice. Colors looks good. But it looks like an illustration, no enough realism to be a matte painting I think.I like it though as an illustration
