Battlestations Midway pin-up 1, Henning Ludvigsen (2D)

Title: Battlestations Midway pin-up 1
Name: Henning Ludvigsen
Country: Norway
Software: Photoshop

This is one out of three pin-up ladies I painted for Kennedy & Monk for the computer game “Battlestations Midway” from EIDOS. It was a different and very exiting experience working on these illustrations. They were heavily art directed by a very talented director, and we had a good time developing this. They are not being used in the game, but are being used for PR purposes and similar things.

The game is available on XBox-360 and PC once it releases later this month.

Painted using Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom Intuos tablet. I spent many hours on this one, I don’t know how many exactly.

See close-ups, step-by-step process, and get more info here!

Thumbs up

Nice legs Henning. I think the waist looks a little too thin, but that might just be my personal preference. I like the other illustrations in the series too. They really make a nice set of pin-ups.

I like the step by step although I have to admit that I liked the 1st girl better. That's not to say that this girl isn't more what was needed for the game, but I did like the 1st one very much. The midrift may have been a little much though

Excellent work

Great stuff Henning! Excellent to have these as a series. I'm a sucker for classical pin-up work, and these are definitely 'period' work. I guess you're pretty familiar with the golden age artists like Elvgren, Frahm, Al Buell, Moran etc. Elvgren's my hero!

Fab to see you post!
