Yup. It would make more sense if the detective was a battered old tom. This one does look quite feminine. Especially around the cleavage.

Still...

wow...this is realy a beautifull nice job ,man!.....the first time i saw the picture i just said "WOWWWWW......THATS REALY NIIIIICCCCCCE....""
the colors ,lighting and the whole concept gives me a good feeling, and some good memories of my beloved kids age cartoones, those that the animals were the heroes....

great image steven, really nice work. I like the maffia/1930 -look of it.

I think the picture is slightly too.. "sexy". The power of your "one last time" was the innocence of the girl opposed to the danger of the dragon, which was incredibly capturing. it evoked feelings. this picture doesn't really have that. I'd love to see one more picture of you which is so evocative instead of the returning sexy concepts. But, as you stated, for a just for fun image, it's a great image

Thats because it is a woman:

Toppest of notches as usual steven - nice to see something different than your usual sexy ladies (even if they are sexy animal ladies). Great rendering, colours and excellent lighting. Nice lil touches like the rip on her stocking, and great work on the cobblestone pavement too. I do however think that it would have more character if the detective was a scraggy tomcat male though - the fact that shes female and her pal is clutching at her cleavage makes it seem somewhat over-sexed (As garma said).
Correct me if im wrong, but i think theres some sort of a fetish for half animal characters, so be prepared for potential scary emails!
Great work on the giant psycho girlfriend you did in the wip 3d section too!

Nice to see you posting lots of work once more!

Cool looking comic; doesn't look like there's a English-language version of it, though (shame...).

EDIT: Never mind: turns out it is available in English (Amazon.com: Blacksad).

I remeber this from the focus critiques area, glad you finally finished. I like the little details you added, and glad you fixed the mouses thigh being too flat. Hoep to see mroe of your work around.

Stahlberg: As always, you're the man. Great pic, great composition, great values.

And as for over-sexed? Is there even such a thing?
