Chinese Temple, Dylan Cole (2D)

Title: Chinese Temple
Name: Dylan Cole
Country: United States
Software: Photoshop

Fun little painting I did starting with a photo I took while in China. I then extended it. Here is what was in the original image-

I apologize for the gray matting, it was formatted for my site.
The original size of the painting was 4096 pixels across and was a good mix of painting and photos.
There a few other new matte paintings on my site.

Great work.. really photo realistic. I'm wondering how you transforming the picture to your art work. Anyway, well done!

Damn this is incredible. I keep looking at your photograph to see where and how you combined the photograph and painting. But I really cannot tell where one ends and the other begins. I like how you added the extra buildings and building levels to the painting, it adds more depth to the image and makes it more interesting. I still can't get over how seamlessly you combined the photo and painting in this. Wonderful job.

Nicely done matte painting. only critique I can see is that the shadows in the forground between the tree and doorway don't seem to match, it looks almost like a feathered mask between the shadow colors.
grand work, as always!
