A strange beast from Mars with its eggs,afraid of the bad weather that is coming ! I started with a painter sketch and add some filters on photoshop, and work again on the skin in Painter :p

Interesting concept, but i'm kind of having difficulty seeing your martian beasty. I think it would do well in a more interesting pose that showed off more of it's body structure. Beyond that, take a look at some different types of eggs - right now, this thing looks like it laid a chicken egg! Insects have some wild looking eggs and they may prove a good source for inspireation for an alien oviporus species.
