Despair/my Saviour,concept For 3d, G.dimitriou (2D)

this has been a piece to reflect the broken mood i am in these days; i like it as it is,though the pose is rather flat--- i had in mind getting this down as a 3d low poly and use the painting as texture ref, but i suppose i'll leave it for a day when i'm paid for such stuff...

thank you ppl.

thanx for the praise, but plz make some comments on anything that you feel might need more work.
take into consideration that this took a total of 3 h to complete and that it's based on 8'x10' in sketch. i'll b posting some sick stuff, sooonnn .

Wow! thats very nice - really nice design and feel. The only crit i have is that the arm seems to get lost if you follow it down. It seems to merge into his leg. I love the mouth and those spines on his back.

wicked design..
only crit, maybe could use just a little bit more detail on the legs.. like abit more scratchs or dirt.. and maybe abit more shadow under the arm for better definition..

You have the attitude of a true die hard artist.
Keep at it my man.
As for changes, look towards nature for inspiration, the balance of your creature design seems to need more stability. It looks like a predator, so a wide stance and long ground base would give it the solid footing to attack and kill something without falling over.

When you design your next creature imagine how it would look like if it were, REALLY alive and standing right in front of you. What would it sound like, smell like, and move like. If you can see all this, then you will draw an AWESOME picture, because in your head it's real.

Keep up the good stuff dude, and remember, our true payment is the quality of our work, not the size of our paycheques.

It looks great. It's a really cool design.
I'm just having a hard time making out the limbs...
The legs and arms(?) are kind of tangled, and I can't
really see where the prosthetics go...

hope i get some more coming up, i just spent the day trying to find decent scriptwriters and get a comic in this style (hopefully)

it's just that i ain't got a single paycheque coming my way these days , at least for serious stuff(just some **/- editorials,no fun, not creative),liamwh....

plz feel free to give it the 'bad star' if you think that's what it deserves....

well, I like the style, I like the design, I like the technic. No bad critics for your work dude.
I'ld just say that the design of the creature reminds me a little the one of "Munch Odyssey" , a guardian but it's in the attitude or anythingeklse.
By the way, keep up this good work, the technics is top !

if you want to get paid for this stuff, build a portfolio, and possibly a website to show it off with. then submit it to game companies or possibly an art book publisher (not familiar with that territory).
