Spooky Hollow, Brian Prince For Wannado City (2D)

Title: Spooky Hollow
Name: Brian Prince For Wannado City
Country: United States
Software: (Other)

This is a theatrical backdrop I painted for a theme park using Corel Photopaint 10. Jose Saenz provided me with a sketch of the owl and some general art direction.

I think I spent about eleven hours on the piece. It will be printed at something like 16' (5m) high.

Very good work. I like a lot this style.

If you could, see my work (ScareCrow), the link is on my signature, the atmosphere is the same of your work.

Wow very interesting, I love the overall feel of this piece. Impressive how a simple owl can turn some regular scene into something that spooky!

hey balistic, good work! Things I really like about this:
-The owl, you really defined this character. The typical grumpy owl
-The detail on the ground, I'm sure it's hard to find out where to start on this type of detail.

As for a constructive crit, probably needs more detail on the moon, and it seems to lack at least a little fog in the foreground, whereas it's abundant in the back

Just got an e-mail from the client saying that the test prints they did on canvas looked great. Apparently the full 34x16' (9.7x4.8 meters) print is going to cost like $4000 to make

Might be worth a weekend road trip to Florida to see my art reproduced as big as a house . . .
