23rd Century Pinup, Iv (nudity), G. Dimitriou (2D)

Title: 23rd Century Pinup, Iv (nudity)
Name: G. Dimitriou
Country: Greece
Software: Photoshop

this is a recent front page commission for a comic edition supplement, subtle airbrushing in photoshop over pencil sketch. i am starting to think that airbrushing in painter 8 might have been better....

harsh and meaningful critique is welcome as always

(not really a nude piece, but has some sexist undertones)

Nice! I like the design, colours and the hair.
Not too keen on her expression, her mouth and her clearly visible nips though
Nice pose though

I second Andy H, the expresion doesn't really suit the pose she's in. Besides that it looks really nice

Talking oh

i have to agree w you both . can you be more about lips and expression? this gets to be a persistent problem, i mean something not quite right w lips...

oh, nips are meant to be prominent,(target groups and all that)

wow ...:o
... really impressive stuff ...
... excellent work giza ...

I actually think the expression looks good. The lips could use some work though.

i disagree with everyone else, and like the overall pose and expression, but i dislike the fact that it looks like you spent some time sketching it, and only 5 minutes coloring it. it doesnt look finished.

Talking mpre feedback plz

if you check my other posting, godly icon, you'll get to see some things about myself;this is by no means an excuse but i am partially colourblind, i have to spent lots of time measuring colours .

this was done w a deadline of 3 days ,along w one more piece i just finished.what about line art quality???

Its a nice pieces of work, but personally, I would give her a saucier expression more befitting her body langauge.

Don't listen to them . Expresion and pose are OK and Yours techinique is nice, simple but effective. Great Work!!

BTW: reflection on pad makes nice detail.

Contrast!

really great image, i love the body.. but i think you can work a little bit more the contrast, more shadows in some areas...

i don't know... i am seeing SOO much good work on this forum that after looking at this work after a mere 36 hours i think it should be done from scratch...RRROOOARRGH .*&*@ those ultra-tight deadlines!!! .
i totally agree w nev4r

rizo: yes, yes, yes, lack of contrast is just a matter of getting a light texture and making sure people will not mess up when it gets printed, i can't just have a colour profile match for every client---anyway, i hope i can update this post someday w my personal view on colour scheme
