Title: Whaling In The Atlantic

I did this as a personal piece, it is my first all photoshop environment painting.
I welcome your thoughts and critiques.
edit: I made a few small changes to the water.

I think it's a great 1st all photoshop painting. The only real crit I have is that the mountains in the distance have no detail - it just seems like a flat color and unfinished. Perhaps the texture of the water needs to change with distance also. Larger waves up front and smaller in the distance.

I like this alot, very powerfull dramatic scean.

1 crit, the whales fin on the top is a little to White bright. It almost makes it look like somthing stuck on after the picture was made, dosent seem to grab the same contrast as the rest of the picture. If you could tone the brighness of the fins donw a little like the fin below the body.
So many things to do, so little enthusiasim to do them.

I love the movement of the whale and the entire tension of your piece. 1 crit the water in the distance looks very cool, but the water in the foreground seems rougher and unfinished. I think if you polish up the foreground water a bit it would add more dimension to the painting. Other than that it's very beautiful and I hope to see more of your work.

Thank you for your critiques.

Darkk_randley and jalingo, I agree about the water in the front, I've had some trouble with that trying keep its scale yet keep the detail.

Obear, i'll give it a try, the reference I used for the whale was that white but it never hurts to try.
