Cosmic Vortex, Niels Vaes (2D)

Title: Cosmic Vortex
Name: Niels Vaes
Country: Belgium
Software: Photoshop

My second space scene picture. I kinda cornered myself with this one, because I oversaturated a layer, but didn't notice after I lost all history. So this is maybe just ok to watch on a monitor, but a definate nono for print. Anyway, I had fun making this one :)

Thats awesome! How long did it take, and how much reference did you use?

took me about 4 days or so to make. I would say that (as far as the clouds and nebula goes), 65% is from an actual photograph I took. But I cloned, painted and added a whole lot more to get the effect I wanted. When that was finally done, I could get to work on the fun stuff, like the planet and the lights.

Thanks for replying!
