Very interesting. I wonder what these design elements remind me of (namely the bent, pipe-like trees). Ah well, I bet I'll remember it later. Anyway, I like your use of color throughout the piece. I like how you carried the reds in only a few areas (the creature, mushrooms and girl's case); it actually follows a compositional flow that leads the viewer to the center of the image. The creature design itself is a little strange (namely the tube-like "arms"; I don't mind the design, but the body and arms feel weakly constructed). Your textures came out a little strangely. I can see what you were going for in the variety of textures, but many of them feel like flat patterns rather than textures (like some of the plants; the bark on the trees, and the leafy/cobbled texture of the creature's head). Overall, though it's a cohesive piece and definitely plays into a child-like fantasy that leads to adventures. Keep it up. Great job.

Beautiful. Reminds me of Miyazaki (but it's very original!).
If someone offers a penny for your thoughts, and you give them your two cents, where does the other penny go?
