An assignment I did for The Art Department. Also did a gig with a punkrock coverband last weekend. I've seen way too many mohawks this week.

Very excellent! Like everyone else is saying, the feel of the atmosphere is amazing!
One question though regarding, for lack of a better word: realism. The lights around her are, what I'm guessing alien flowers of some kind that emit a light/heat source? And she appears to have cut a couple off and using them? Wouldn't their energies die (like plants in real life) once she has removed them from the roots? Unless they hold some alien, organic style capacitor of course After all, humans remain warm for a while after they die.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate these comments!

As for the flowers, when I thought them up I wanted to create something kind of similar to those glow in the dark stickers, but in plantform. So they aren't really 'powered' by anything but just emit a warm glow of what they absorbed during the day.

And the time it took to create was about two working days I think.

Also, I've written a tutorial about in for layerpaint, so feel free to check it out!
