Seath Moth Queen, Clayton Maartens (2D)

Title: Seath Moth Queen
Name: Clayton Maartens
Country: South Africa
Software: Photoshop

This is a Seath Moth Queen I did yesterday. I used only photoshop and a mouse . I'm trying to get my colors perfect but its a little hard. Any critique on color use would be of great use. Thanks

Great work, though I think her arm are to long.

Thumbs up

Agreed about the arm. Especially since the upper arm is nearly proportional, but the forearm is like twice as long (probably should've brought the elbow down a lot lower). I like the color schemes, the painting style and the line work, though. I like the moth antenea, but the wings feel more bat-like rather than moth-like. Not quite sure what kind of insect she's holding her hand out to (I guess it's a moth, but doesn't really look like one). I do liek how you did her hair, in shape, style and color. And I like the simplicity of the a simple sting-drape jewelry that you draped on her shoulders. Keep it up. Nice work.

I like the tethered wings look. The rest could use just a little sprucing up.

Thanx for the comments . I really took a closer look and saw the problems you suggested. I changed the arm to make it shorter and shrinked the hand a little. I also tried changing the bug to be more Moth-like. And added a few details to the wings. Hope it looks better
