The brushwork on this is nice - her skin is very smooth compared to the other parts of the piece, so it has a nice textural feel, but you need a lot of work on your values. Think about how the light works in your piece and then do your values accordingly - this looks like it has a really strong back light, so the column would have hazy edges and the areas not in shadow would be of higher value. Her face and the left side of her body however, would not be as well lit as it is hidden behind the pillar, and at the moment there is just as much white on that side of her body as on the right. You don't need to use the same value range (from complete black to complete white) in all areas of the image - try starting out with a smaller range (maybe 25-70% brightness greys) and adding in blacks and whites at the end. You'll be amazed at the difference. Unfortunately this is often a problem you get from using photo refs - which you should absolutely do, but you have to work with them to make the picture look cohesive. Hope that helps some It's nice that it's in black and white though, you really have to get the values right before moving to colour.
