Maru Chui Wei, Ekaterina Gudkina (2D)

Title: Maru Chui Wei
Name: Ekaterina Gudkina
Country: Russia
Software: Photoshop

This is one of five characters I have made for my own rpg-project. I wanted to depict each character in casual and combat costumes and put them together. I really like to see one character in different appearances as if it was an accidentally taken photo.
This work was made in Photoshop and took me about two weeks.

Each picture is provided with short description of a character.

Cool

Wow, it looks like a character description page for a rpg player book (really cool). Pity this format makes the size too small to fully appreciate here (can't even read the text at this size). I do like the dynamics of the pose and the interesting sillouette we get with both the body and the weapons sticking out. The wispy layering effect of the spirit or magic forces in the background are a nice touch and the color choices and rendering are really well done (not too much contrast, but stands out in complimentary and subtle way).

Love the blood dripping and pooling on the floor from the hand. The at ease version is kind of boring, and the legs and pants feel a little weird (probably slightly off on the knee or lower leg of the back leg; it's pretty subtle so this is a nit pick). Good job with the face and head on both versions though. This turned out pretty cool, so keep it handy for a portfolio. Keep it up. Great job.
