Title: THOR
Name: Cyril TERPENT
Country: France
Software: Photoshop

Last illustration, a cover of Thor. It's been a wile since I want to make an illustration with this character and finaly I found some free time to make it. The awesome studio Sixemorevodka made some marketing art for Thor movie and when I have seen these illustrations I have already started my image so it push me to do it well and to give my best not to be ridiculous ; I hope I've succeeded. I try to give him much power , and I hope you'll like it.

Thumbs up

That is quite a lot of red for the cape there. It's huge. I feel like I'm looking at more graphical scene from the movie they did. I like your bent shoulder profile here with Thor, and the scaling of his armor. Good facial expression as well. I like the contrasting electric blue of Thor's hammer hitting the ground, too. Just be careful with the cape (the flowing part is large and flat looking since there's so much red and not much value grading). Keep it up. Nice work.

Linainverse it' a graphic choice , the cape is huge and red to give much power to the scene, it's clearly a choice not a mystake, the red is to contrast with the blue; so the warm colors in opposition to the cold colors. Some part are flat looking but it's one more time a choice to have a part nearly like a tint area and less value grading . I can understand that it can disturb you but it's the peculiare to the choice. Anyway thanks for your comment .
Kun thanks my friend !

Hi Cyril! I haven't seen this one before in in the forum! I love this work, not because it's Thor, but because of the strenght of your composition! The perspective worked very fine here, too! Great one! One of my favs of you!
